The Penrose Community Library will remain closed until the “Safer at Home” order is lifted to remain in compliance with the Fremont County Department of Health. The order is expected to be lifted on May 27, 2020.
When the order is lifted we are excited to be offering curbside service. We will be offering this service Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 10-2 and on Wednesday and Friday from 2-6 and by appointment based on staff availability.
Patrons will not be allowed to enter the main library during this Safer at Home phase. Hours and services will be extended when it becomes safe to do so for our staff and patrons.
Patrons can place holds on materials at https://penrose.catalog.aspencat.info, emailing the library at email@example.com or by calling the library at 719-372-6017, ext. 3. If you don’t have a particular item in mind, take advantage of our “concierge” service and leave the choosing to us. You might find a new author or genre to fall in love with! A staff member will call when materials are ready for pick up. Only items from our local collection will be available at this time until inter-library lending resumes statewide.
Curbside service will also include any copying, printing, scanning, faxing or laminating needs. Exciting things are in our future, including a VIRTUAL Summer Reading Program. As always, please make use of our online services and wifi in our parking lot.
The Penrose Community Library staff is excited to start serving the community again while maintaining safe practices. Staff will be wearing masks and gloves while interacting with our patrons, sanitizing and quarantining all library materials between each use. We look forward to seeing all of your masked faces soon!
